    Product Overview

This custom glass-filled nylon limit stop pin is produced by Swiss-type CNC machining. The component combines an end-face internal bore, a milled flat, a cylindrical shaft and an integral flange in a compact locating and stopping form.

    Structure and Machining Features

The flat, end-face bore and outer diameter must be controlled from a consistent datum relationship so the part can provide repeatable positioning. Swiss-type turn-mill machining combines turning and milling in one controlled setup, helping manage the relationship between these features while avoiding unnecessary re-clamping error.

    Glass-Filled Nylon Control

The 30% glass-fiber-filled nylon is susceptible to edge chipping and exposed fibers at cutting exits and milled transitions. Tool condition, cutting parameters and support during machining are controlled to limit breakout and fiber pull-out. Deburring is performed carefully around the bore and flat rather than relying on aggressive scraping that could damage the finished surfaces.

    Project Value

By treating the bore, flat and cylindrical datum as one positional system, the machining plan supports consistent fit in positioning and limit assemblies. Controlled edge finishing helps preserve the functional surfaces and reduces the risk that loose fibers or chipped edges affect assembly accuracy.
